Marae Noho
WALT: To write a recount that informs and entertains your reader.
Last Thursday room 4, room 3 and room 5 went to the kohewhata marae for a marae noho. The school went on the bus and the parents came on their cars. When I got there I was so bored because me and my mum, nan and sister got there to early so I pulled out my chromebook and I watched boyka best fight scenes than I look out the window and I saw the bus arrive than I saw the little kids come out of the bus and I acted like I was asleep and then I saw hukarere and I open the door and I shouted Hukarere And he was looking everywhere and I was laughing at him then he saw me and he shouted Tyla then. He run up to me and hand shake me we started talking than my mum told me to get our blankets than I put my stuff in the kai mahi room.
Than I saw mason,piripi,Jonas and kohatu putting everyone else bags in the kai mahi room. Than We got powhiri in the marae we were walking into the marae then we saw Rahiri. Than we took off our shoes.
We walked in to the marae we saw all the carving and I looked up and I was shocked that I saw a waka on top of the marae and I looked to mason and I said look up top and he did and he said i’m sure that's a waka I know I said.Then we had to sit in the chairs then I looked at the back of me then I saw cilla Then we had to be quiet.
When we sat down on our chairs, matua Vic did the mihi and he was talking so fast in maori I didn't even know what he was saying than we stood up and sang he onere than sonny got up and did the mihi and he wasn't saying it to fast.We walked outside and went into the kai mahi room so we can grab our stuff.
